FAQs

How much do I take? Our bone broth contains nothing but natural food ingredients so there is no limit to have much you can consume. You can never do any harm, no matter your age! We recommend 1-2tsp per day to maintain optimal gut health. This can be consumed as a liquid or in its solid state.

Does it need refrigeration? No. Our bone broth can be stored in a cool dark place such as your pantry. We recommend storing in a glass jar for maximum shelf life, which is 2 years (please check the best before date on your sticker).

Where do your bones come from? Being certified organic, we are limited to a handful of certified organic farms across Australia. We are super proud to support these local farmers doing right by both the animals and the land in fair treatment and sustainability. We are very passionate about this believing happy animals make for healing foods.

How do you make your broth? There are NO secrets here. We cook our bone broth in the traditional manner, lots of organic ingredients and pure triple filtered rain water. The broth is slow simmered in stainless steel vestibules for a minimum of 48 hours and sets like jelly showing the high gelatin content essential for gut healing properties.

Why do you dehydrate? Bone broth has been dehydrated since the stone age. Truly! Our ancestors would dry their broth in animal skins on hot stones to allow them to carry it as the roamed. It is the only natural way to increase shelf life while completely maintaining all nutrients without any processing or modifications.

Why not make a paste? Making a paste would be far less time consuming and easier, however we do not wish to alter the natural state of our broth by reducing or adding artificial thickeners. We maintain maximum natural nutrients so there is never any need to add extras to boost the benefits. This has enabled higher protein and amino acid contents in our bone broth.

I am sure that the beef broth has all the goodies, but I find the flavour very disappointing. I added salt, but I still couldn't improve the flavour, which to me was a bit sour and unpleasant. When rehydrated, the broth had bits in it which felt like ground up mince meat. I was hoping to be able to drink the broth as a meal substitute, but I will have to add it to meals where I can fully disguise it.

Our broth powder is made from certified organic ingredients only — no fillers, no flavours, no additives and no “smoothing agents.” That means the flavour is the real flavour of slow cooked beef bones which is very mild, nothing else layered on top. Some people love that clean, natural savouriness, while others are more used to supermarket style broths that use yeast extract, maltodextrin, flavour enhancers, sodium or sugar to boost taste.

The “bits” you noticed come from the ingredients – organic meat and veggies – and sometimes, those awesome ingredients just don't dissolve completely. Because we don’t use anti caking agents or filters to remove natural particles, some texture can remain after rehydration — it’s completely normal and part of keeping the broth in its natural, nutrient-dense state.

That said, we never want anyone to feel disappointed. I tried to add to a meat dish but it didn’t make any difference. I tried to have it as soup but it was bland.

Hi Anthony. Sorry you did not enjoy our dehydrated bone broth. We do have minimal sodium and no additives which does leave the product with a very mild flavour. We made our freeze dried broth with a added ingredients of tamari and nutritional yeast which while increasing sodium content does also boost the flavour. That one may be more to your palate.

Very easily, All natural, no hidden nasties, your web offers so much information on why your products are so superior to others and why. And after reading as to how the Broth can assist with ones Healing process eg ( after an operation ) & not having to take as much pain relief tablets nor for as long due to your Broth. Im about to have a procedure & will be in a wheelchair for 10 weeks then a moon boot for a time there after ,1/ I want to heal quickly, 2/not put on weight due to lack of movement, 3/ Not to take unnecessary drugs for pain relief.

I'm sorry you did not enjoy our dehydrated bone broth. It seems you have regularly purchased our freeze dried broth which has different ingredietnts and a different drying process. Chicken and Beef Powered Bone Broth Jars

I love these products and discovered them 5 years ago. The only complaint I have is that they used to be a lot larger for the same price.
The product is still outstanding however, the new cost means that o won’t be purchasing them as often as I would like

Hi Simone, Thank you for your recent purchase and we are thrillled to hear that you love the product. We have always offered 2 sizes of our dehydrated bone broth in jars, the 45g and 90g sizing. We have not had a price increase in 7 years which is unheard of as you can imagine how much the cost to make the product and the cost of utilities has incrased in that time! We take the product price very seriously trying to make it as affordable as possible. I did see in your purchase hisotry that you had always previously purchased the larger 90g jars at $40 each back in 2017 and 2018, which are certainly better value. Alternatively you can purchase the dehydrated broht satchels for a slight discount. I wish we could offer the products at an even better price point, but its just not possible. To be honest, we are only just scraping through ourselves :(

There is very little we can do with any dealys customs have in passing items.
