Alison also understands that there is no one fix all solution. Wellness comes from a change in mind, body, soul and spirit. She is constantly educating herself with new ways to find optimal wellness in nutrition and lifestyle. She is an advocate for alternate therapies and practices meditation through sound healing and shamanic learning on a daily basis.
After working as a pastry chef for 20 years, Heather found herself being increasingly led down the path towards a more healthy lifestyle. She found herself incorporating bone broth into her diet so she could maintain the fast paced environment in which she worked, along with all its pressures and stress. She started wondering how she could incorporate bone broth into modern day lives.
“I grew up on a farm and have always known the value of clean healthy living..., of knowing where my food came from. I also understand the pressures of modern living and how tempting it is to grab packaged foods off the supermarket shelf to conveniently cook and serve the hungry family in under 10 minutes. I started wondering how to incorporate bone broth in to everyday meals to make them both nutritious and healing. Of course being a former pastry chef and baker, using bone broth in sweet gluten free, sugar free slices & pastries became a priority. I wanted to create delicious foods were the full gut healing properties of bone broth are forefront and centre, thereby dispelling the myth that bone broth is just served up in soups or ramen and pho.”
Alison and Heather are both heavily involved in the preparation, cooking and distribution of their dehydrated bone broth... They are there every step of the way - from go to whoa! They’re there from produce selection to the bottling up stage - to ensure that nothing but the best quality and nourishment goes into every jar.
