Microplastic Contamination Found in Most Major Brands of Bottled Water Globally
Written By: Jerfferey Jaxen According to a recent study’s findings, 93 percent of bottled water showed signs of microplastic contamination averaging 10.4 large (> 100 um) microplastic particles per liter of bottled water. The tests included brands like Evian, Aquafina, and Dasani. A recent study from the State University of New York at Fredonia titled Synthetic Polymer Contamination in Bottled Water was part of a project involving original research and reporting by the US-based journalism organization Orb Media.
